Oumou Malet

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Option in Finance), Oumou Dily-Malet spent five years working at a financial institution where she quickly rose through the ranks from cashier to financial advisor. Everything fell into place when she read a job posting for a Financial Recovery Counsellor role at Raymond Chabot. She felt as if her personality was described in detail! As a result, she didn’t hesitate to join the firm in 2025.

Her mantra is “You can’t go back, but you can choose the best path to move forward.”

What she loves most about her job is having a tangible impact on people’s lives. She finds that supporting individuals during challenging times and seeing them steadily turn their situation around gives her work meaning. She hopes that each client’s change is lasting and allows them to look to the future with renewed confidence. She believes that everyone has the right to a second chance.

Oumou is generous with her time and is also involved in the international student community on an informal level by helping students to better understand the Canadian financial system.
