In most cases, the deposit is calculated in accordance with the following rules:

  • 15% of the value of movable property;
  • 5% of the value of immovable property;
  • 0% for bids under $50,000.

However, in rare cases, the bids process may be subject to other terms and conditions. You must accept any such terms and conditions when submitting a bid.

If your bid is rejected, your deposit will be refunded. However, in the vast majority of cases, if your bid is accepted and you choose to withdraw it, your deposit will not be refunded. This sum will be retained by the seller as damages. Please refer to the terms and conditions of sale for further details regarding non-compliant bids.

Only successful bidders will be contacted.

Yes, it is! In accordance with Section 5.5, a bid may be delivered by hand or sent by email or fax. It must be addressed to the person designated in the invitation to bid, specifying that the original was delivered to the Raymond Chabot Inc. office in the city in question.

Please note that the bidder is responsible for ensuring their bid was received by the recipient.
