Changing consumer habits

Controlling your expenses!

Sometimes, changing a few consumer habits is all that's needed to improve your financial situation.

  • Always pay cash and avoid using credit cards.
  • Prepare a budget of your monthly income and expenses.
  • Don't buy now pay later.
  • Be wary of telephone and door-to-door sales solicitation.
  • Don't commit to a contract without knowing all of your obligations.
  • Ask yourself if a purchase is worth the stress you'll feel at the end of the month.
  • Calculate how much time you will have to work to pay off a purchase.
  • Always know where your finances stand. Never avoid this reality.
  • Rather than make compulsive purchases, find less expensive ways of compensating.
  • Analyze the way you buy in order to better know your personality and make good resolutions.
  • Draw up a list of expenses for a few months to know where your money is going.
  • Prepare a balance sheet and analyze your financial situation at least once a year.
